How to give your users feedback within quizzes
Unlike lessons, where users cannot move on until they have correctly answered a question, users only have one opportunity to answer each questions in quizzes.
When Answer Feedback is turned on, (read more about toggling this feature in this article) you can edit the Correct Answer Feedback, Incorrect Answer Feedback, and General Feedback for any quiz question.
The Correct Answer Feedback is the banner that will appear to users if they chose the correct answer. By default, the banner will read "That's correct!," but you may edit the feedback if you choose.
The Incorrect Answer Feedback is the banner that will appear to users if they chose the incorrect answer. By default, the banner will read "Not quite...," but you may edit the feedback if you choose.
The last text box allows you to write general feedback to appear to users regardless of whether they get the answer correct or incorrect. You might use this box to write a general teaching point or coaching point. For example, you might give a tip or refer to a relevant topic you have covered previously.
How to give your users feedback in Quiz Results
Go to the Quiz Results tab on the lefthand side of the screen.
From there, click on the quiz you want to view. Multiple choice text, multiple choice image, and true false will automatically be graded.
Admin will need to go in and manually grade, and give feedback on, free response questions.
When you have clicked on the quiz you want to view, you can click on See Only Free Response. The free response questions will be outlined in blue.
You can click on each individual free response question to grade, or you can click Grade all user responses.
To grade responses individually, click on the question that is outlined in blue and click correct or incorrect after reviewing the user response. Then, you can click back into the question, to give specific, typed feedback to that user.
To grade all user responses, click on the button at the top of the quiz. It will take you to a screen where you can see all user responses at once. From there, you can mark them as correct or incorrect and add individual feedback. Make sure to hit send so the user gets a notification of your feedback.
