This article explains Learn to Win's Insights Dashboard Knowledge Gaps. As with all our analytics, these reports enable you to turn results into actions.
There are three main tabs in Knowledge Gaps:
- Quiz Performance Comparison
- Quiz Deep Dive
- Quiz Question Deep Dive
Filters that you apply in one tab will apply to additional tabs as you click through the individual reports to view results. Data in the Insights Dashboards refreshes every hour, so you might see slight differences between the Dashboards compared to quiz analytics and the leaderboard.
Interpretation Guide
For a conceptual overview of how to use Knowledge Gaps, review the following graphics. Left click to expand, and right click to save the images.
Quiz Performance Comparison
In this view, see the average score by quiz and be able to compare that to confidence, if applicable.
Filters:
- Filter by User Group - filter by one or more user group
- Filter by Package - filter by one or more package
- Choose to View First Attempt or Include Retakes
These filters are not mutually exclusive. Select one or more in each category to target the results you want to view.
When retakes are included, the report will show the latest attempt. For example, if a user has attempted a quiz three times because minimum scoring is turned on, you will see the analytics related to their third attempt.
Average Scores by Quiz:
This bar graph will show you each quiz and the average score for that quiz. Click on either the x-axis or y-axis to sort this graph by quiz name or by average score.
Average Score and Average Confidence by Quiz:
Our scatter plot graph will show you the average confidence for a quiz, if confidence is turned on, compared to the score for that quiz. Use this to help identify knowledge gaps where there is a disparity between the score for accuracy and the score for confidence. Note: the score you see for that quiz is the average score for questions with confidence check enabled, not the total average quiz score.
Select a quiz from either of the graphs in this view to be taken to the Quiz Deep Dive tab for further analysis.
Quiz Deep Dive
View results for a quiz by learner and by question. Use the score and confidence check to take action based on the results.

This view will allow you to see each learner and their average score. Sort the bar graph by learner name (y-axis) or by score (x-axis). Use the Detailed Score By Learner table to see more detail for the learner. A learner's name will appear for each quiz taken. View the date the quiz was taken, their score, and their confidence level, if applicable.
Average Score by Question:
Filter for a specific quiz to view the questions within that quiz. The bar graph will allow you to see the question and the average score for that question. Sort by the question name (y-axis) or by the question score (x-axis) for different views.
Click on any bar to filter for just that question to be taken to the Quiz Question Deep Dive tab.
Average Score and Confidence by Question:
Take a closer look at confidence check with this scatter plot. Now, you will be able to visualize the confidence check across all questions in a quiz. Find discrepancies between the score and confidence for a specific question to target remediation where needed.
Quiz Question Deep Dive
Dive into questions where you have identified a knowledge gap. Here, you can see which answer choices were favored over others, offering more insights for future remediation. For free response questions that include the option to submit a media response such as a picture or video, the media will not appear in the Insights dashboard, and those results are best reviewed in Quiz Analytics.
